We Take Trade-Ins!

We have partnered with BicycleBlueBook.com to help you sell your bike!

Selling a used bicycle can be tricky. How much is it worth? How do you effectively advertise it? How can you ensure that interested persons know what they're getting? Because selling a used bike is challenging like this, and not always a straightforward process, we've partnered with BicycleBlueBook.com as a third party valuation service to assist you in trading-in your current bike.

Generally, most bike shop quality bikes qualify for the Michael's Cycles Trade-in Program following evaluation.

How will your bike's condition be evaluated?

Our experienced mechanics will evaluate your bike's condition based on the condition of the following components:

  • Frame
  • Wheels
  • Drivetrain
  • Rubber
  • Contact points (ex. grips, saddle, etc.)

To estimate the value of your trade-in, please enter your bike's information at the bottom of this page.  Bikes requiring replacement parts or labor prior to resale have a reduced trade-in value.

Trade-in Policy Requirements

  • A valid driver's license and intact bicycle serial number
  • Department store bikes cannot be resold but are still eligible for a $10 trade-in credit.
  • To qualify for trade, bike must be 10 years old or newer with an original MSRP of $500 or more.  If your bike does not fall within these parameters, we will still give you at least $15 for your trade!
  • Final trade-in value is determined using a combination of the third party valuation from BicycleBlueBook.com and the evaluation of our expert mechanic
  • BicycleBlueBook.com valuations are based on stock componentry.  Any upgrades/downgrades will be taken into consideration in final trade value.
